THIS EVENT IS OVER !!
Event Details

Type: Hill Forts
Height: Max 4500 Feet above MSL (Approx)
Grade: Difficult
Endurance: Hard
Region: Kalsubai Mountain Range

Alang: The majestic Alang Fort lies in the Nashik region & is a part of the Kalsubai mountain range. We would be ascending the fort from Udadavane village, the route involves climbing a 15 feet rock patch to get to the broken entry door of the fort, from here starts the ‘Longest Traverse to get to the caves. Top of the fort is a huge plateau. There are two caves on the fort for staying and 11 water cisterns arranged in a Cascade formation & a dilapidated storage room.

Madan: The elusive fort of Madan has got a beautiful set of steps that one needs to negotiate to get to the top. The British knowing the strategic importance and the toughness of these forts blew up a part of the route to make the access to the fort difficult. It is here that one has to negotiate a traverse with a deadly exposure & also climb a 40 feet rock wall to get to the top. The top of the fort has a cave & two water tanks. The view of the horseshoe shaped Alang from Madan is a beautiful sight.

Kulang: This fort offers the highest climb from the base village to the top. We will be taking the new route which is a traverse to Madan fort and reaches directly to the flight of stairs to get to the top of the fort. On reaching the top, one is greeted by a Huge cave with water cisterns strewn across the huge plateau.
