Event Details

Spiti Valley best described by Rudyard Kipling- “This is no place for men, only Gods must live here”.

“Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, the land between Tibet and India. With an average height of 12,500 feet above sea level. Spiti Valley consists of stark high alpine lands scattered with tiny villages and monasteries. The valley is home to some of the oldest monasteries (Tabo, Sherkhang and Dhankar- all around 1000 years old), highest motorable villages in Asia (Langza and Komic), highest post office in the world (Hikkim), Chandrataal lake, beautiful and vast landscape, ancient and intact culture, and simple people.

Itinerary

Day 01 (8th July) Chandigarh to Shimla (120kms/4hrs)

Pickup from Chandigarh Airport and then transfer to Shimla. Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills," a term coined by the British.

Day 02 (9th July) Shimla to Kufri - Sarahan -Sangla / Rakchham (230kms/08hrs)

Good morning- after breakfast hotel checkout and drive to Sangla/Rakchham by 8.00am

Enroute visit Kufri fun world, Green valley, Himalayan nature park, Narkanda, Surya Narayan Temple, Bhimakali Temple & then Sangla/ Rakchham.

Day 03 (10th July) Rakchham - Chitkul - Rakchham - Kalpa

Good morning- after breakfast checkout from hotel and Drive to Chitkul.

Chitkul is the last and highest village in the Baspa valley in district Kinnaur. It is situated on the right bank of Baspa River. Chitkul is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border.
Drive to Kalpa which is home to the wonderful Kinner-Kailash ranges amid picturesque Himalayan hills and scenic valleys. Visit Monastery in Peo , 60ft. tall Statue of Buddha, Kalpa Heritage Village.

Day 04 (11th July) Kalpa - Nako - Tabo – Dankhar (200kms/08hrs)

Good morning - after breakfast Check out from the hotel and drive to Dankhar.

Enroute visit Nako Village & Nako Lake, Tobo Monastery which is 1000 years old and houses the ancient scriptures and ancient thangka paintings.

Day 05 (12th July) Dankhar - Kaza

Good morning - after breakfast Check out from the hotel and drive to Kaza.

Enroute Visit Dankhar Village, Dankhar Monastery & Mud Village.
Drive to Kaza which is the sub divisional headquarter of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in Lahaul and Spiti district.

Day 06 (13th July) Kaza -Local sightseeing

Good morning - after breakfast we will have full day for Local Sightseeing of Kaza.

Visit Key monastery, Kibber, highest motorable villages in Asia (Langza and Komic), highest post office in the world (Hikkim), Village walk in Komic.

Day 07 (14th July) Kaza - Losar - Kunzum Pass - Chandertal

Good morning - after breakfast Check out from hotel and drive to Chandratal.

Enroute visit Losar, Kunzum Pass and then Chandratal.

Day 08 (15th July) Chanderatal - Manali

Good morning - after breakfast checkout from camps and drive to Manali.

Enroute visit Atal Tunnel, Solang Valley & then Manali.
Evening free to explore the shopping malls (Mall Road & IBEX Market) of Manali.

Day 09 (16th July) Manali – Chandigarh (320kms/09hrs.)

Good morning - after breakfast check out from hotel and then drive to Chandigarh.

Full day journey to Chandigarh, on arrival check in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10 – 17th July Drop to Chandigarh Airport

Good morning - after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Chandigarh Airport.

Any Expenses of Personal nature such as Travel and medical insurance.
Packed drinking water, Soft Drinks, Laundry, Tip to hotel staff etc.
Any additional Expenses caused by reason beyond our control such as Natural Calamities (Land Slides, Floods etc.), any accidents, medical evacuations, riots, strikes, evacuation costs, Etc.
Any service not specifically mentioned in the Includes sections.

Insurance:

All travelers are advised to purchase travel insurance that provide care and services for sickness, Accidents, emergency rescue, ted. Related to international travel.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations prior to 90 days from the start of the trek — full refund
Cancellation between 89 days and 40 days to the start of the trek — 50% refund
Cancellation less than 39 days to the start of the trek — no refund.

If a tour is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike/bandh etc.), Nisarga Bhraman will not be responsible and will not give any refund.

Drop out during event: If for some reason a participant has to drop out from the trek on any day then Nisarga Bhraman, will make arrangements for his/her return up-to base camp. The stay cost at has to be borne by the participant.

ID proof- Passport, Voter’s card, Adhar card, Driving licence etc.

Rules & Regulations

Consumption of alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics is strictly banned on the event & should lead to expulsion from the trek
The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained
Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage
Avoid medication such as sleeping tablets, sedatives, strong painkillers, and anti-histamines Which depress the respiration and increase the risk of AMS- (Acute Mountain Sickness) especially while sleeping
Please do not wear any jewellery or gold chains/rings
Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories.”
