The Takmak fort is located at the confluence of the Tansa and Vaitarna River. Surrounded by a dense forest, the Takmak Fort offers splendid views of misty valleys with mesmerizing views. The fort is heaven for people who love bird watching. The complete trek is captivating, as you can listen to the chirping of birds. You may get to see some rare varieties of birds on the way.
The Takmak fort has a glorious past! It remained under Portuguese influence for a long time. Later, it was won back by Marathas, it again went into the hands of Britishers, who used this fort as a prison.

  • 08:30 am - Start the trek

  • 02:00 pm - Reach base village and have lunch

  • Good pair of trekking shoes.
  • Minimum 2 ltr of drinking water
  • Electral Or Glucon-D powder/ Biscuit / Cake /Chikki / energy bars/ dry snacks etc.
  • Extra pair of clothes
  • Rain coat/ Poncho / Wind cheater (Avoid umbrella)
  • Haversack / Backpack to carry all the things. (No sling bags)
  • Please carry your personal medicines if any
  • Avoid to wearing any jewelry and ornaments.
  • Avoid using perfume and Deodorant during the trek.

Monsoon Safety Measures
  • Pack your clothes, money, camera, phone etc. in polyethene bag
  • Wear shoes with good grips
  • Use insect repellents to keep bugs away
  • Make note of nearest railway station, bus stop, taxi stand etc.
  • Do not stray away from your group during the trek
  • Keep family & friends informed about your whereabouts
Rules & Regulations
  • Consumption of alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics is strictly banned on the event & should lead to expulsion from the trek
  • The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained
  • Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage
  • Avoid medication such as sleeping tablets, sedatives, strong painkillers, and anti-histamines Which depress the respiration and increase the risk of AMS- (Acute Mountain Sickness) especially while sleeping
  • Please do not wear any jewelry or gold chains/rings
  • Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories.”

Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

  • Each member of the group shall wears protective mask while on interaction with each other. Do carry few unused, disposable masks.
  • It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not travelled in a containment zone and have not meet any person who was tested positive in last 14 days.
  • Ascertain whether any participant have any symptoms of flue like fever, dry cough, weakness, severe body ache etc. at the time of beginning of activity, then he/she will not be allowed to participate in the activity and be evacuated on medical ground and should be asked to report to local health authority with his own expenses.
  • Strictly avoid eating gutkha, pan masala, cigarette or sniffing which induces spitting, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching external surfaces and touching your face when in outdoors.
  • If the location of your adventure activity is too crowded, then be prepared to leave Or wait for the crowd to disperse till your turn.
  • It is mandatory that a participant informs the organizers if he tests positive for Covid within 14 days of returning from adventure activity. It will help the organizers to inform and alert all other participants in the group, so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organizers/group leaders about his Covid test results.


Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen despite taking utmost caution and care. The organization will not be responsible for any injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.
Medical Disclaimer:
It is Important to be physically fit while on treks. If suffering from any allergy or ailment, please bring prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, severe headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia. Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes etc. should take permission from their physicians before treks.
