Mt.Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek

Deo Tibba Base Camp trek is one of the most picturesque treks in the Himalayan region which offers landscapes ranging from alpine forests, meadows / thatch, waterfalls, moraines and a high altitude lake. The trek offers great view of snow clad peaks of Deo Tibba (6,001 m) and Indrasan (6,220m) along with the glaciers of Jagatsukh and Deo Tibba.. Chikka, Seri, Tainta and mini Chandra Tal are the scenic destinations of your trek which give you ample time to observe the purest form of nature abundant with alpine flowers, the glimpses of the famous peaks, the rivulets and the popular Ravi River. Camping amidst the landscapes will be an entertaining option as well to sleep under the sky looking at the twinkling stars.

As you slowly continue your trek you will come across the stunning landscape of the region with the alpine forests, meadows, high altitude lakes, waterfalls and moraines. Not just this you can also catch the glimpse of the famous snow-clad peaks of Deo Tibba & Indrasan and also the glaciers of Jagatsukh & Deo Tibba. This amazing trek will be one of the most memorable treks for you.

Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday 28th June'20 (Manali -Overnight in Home-stay)
  • Manali Reporting Time: 06.00 am to 10.00 am
  • Drive from bus stand to Shikharpar home Stay/ B'fast/ Room Allotment
  • Introduction — Mountain Do's and Don't followed by Lunch
  • Acclimatization trek to "Jogini Water Fall"
  • High Tea & Snacks
  • Dinner and Lights off

Day 2: Monday 29th June'20 (Chikka- Overnight in tent)
  • Drive from Manali to Khanol Village and trek to Chikka
The trekking route is filled with different types of berries and flowers. It takes 6-7 hours to reach Chikka.
From Chikka camp site you get the beautiful view of Deo Tibba, Indrasaan peaks and the Spiti valley.

Day 3: Tuesday 30th June'20 (Seri- Overnight in tent)
  • Trek from Chikka to Seri
Start trekking along the bank of the Jagatsukh nallah and enter the incandescent forests which would give away the paths to a striking landscape strewn with boulders and a carpet of velvety grass and colorful wildflowers. Leaving the tree-line behind, ascend the meadows of Seri which was once a glaciated lake but now it is a beautiful large meadow drained with icy rivulets and studded with an astounding variety of herbs and wildflowers with the gorgeous Tainta waterfall looming in the background.

Day 4: Wednesday 01 st July'20 (Tainta- Overnight in tent)
  • Trek from Seri to Tainta
Begin walking across the flat meadow, and wading through streams that feed the Jagatsukh nallah. Get ready for a steep climb through boulders that will lead you to a moraine field and get the first views of the massive Deo Tibba and Indrasan.

Day 5: Thursday 02nd July'20 (Tainta- Overnight in tent)
  • Trek from Tainta to Mini Chandratal and return to Tainta

After an uphill climb, across moraine fields, you will get to see a stunning emerald blue glacial lake that is mini Chandra Tal. Hundreds of wildflowers adorn the shores of the lake. All the way, the snow sheathed Deo Tibba sparkles against the sunny azure skies.

Day 6: Friday 03rd July'20 (Chikka- Overnight in tent))
  • Trek from Tainta to Chikka
Retrace your way back passing through Seri and take a halt at Dudu Pathar for lunch. The descend is easy and will take around 4 hours to reach.

Day 7: Saturday 04th July'20 (Manali- Overnight in Home-stay)
  • Trek to Khanol Village and drive to Manali Shikharpar Guest House

Day 8: Sunday 05th July'20
  • Morning Tea
  • B/Fast followed by Feedback Session and Vote of Thanks
  • Drop to Manali bus stand
  • Trek ends with sweet memories.

The above plan is based on an “Ideal” scenario where everything goes per plan & considering that there is no breakdown. It is subject to change in Real Time based on ground realities.

  • Any additional Expenses caused by reason beyond our control -Natural calamities such as Land Slides, Floods etc., any accidents, medical evacuations, riots, strikes, evacuation costs Etc.
  • Any other tax or service charge, stay charge that could be enforced during this period will be Extra and need to be borne by participant.Any service not specifically mentioned in the Includes sections.

Insurance-
All travelers are advised to purchase travel insurance that provide care and services for sickness, Accidents, emergency rescue, ted. Related to international travel. "Nisarga Bhraman and Organizer" shall not be responsible for the loss of personal assets and belongings of the travelers due to unavoidable reason or mishap.

Cancellations policy:

If for some reason you wish to cancel your trek, an email intimation needs to be sent to nisargabhraman@gmail.com

Cancellation requests are not taken over phone. However, you can phone to check whether your cancellation has been processed.

The cancellation charges are as under:

  • Cancellations prior to 90 days from the start of the trek full refund.
  • Cancellation between 89 days and 40 days to the start of the trek 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 39 days to the start of the trek no refund.

Note: 

  • If a trek is called off at the last moment due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like Political unrest/ rains/ earthquake/ landslides etc), "Nisarga Bhraman" is not liable to refund the event cost.
  • Drop out during trek: If for some reason a participant has to drop out from the trek on any day then Nisarga Bhraman will make arrangements for his/her return upto Manali a staff will accompany the participant. Manali transportation and stay cost at any location will be borne by the participant.

Rules & Regulations
  • Consumption of alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics is strictly banned on the event & should lead to expulsion from the trek.
  • The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained.
  • Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
  • Please do not wear any jewelry or gold chains/rings.
  • Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories.”

Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care. The organization will not be responsible for any injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.

Medical Disclaimer:

It is Important to be physically fit while on treks. If suffering from any allergy or ailment, please bring prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, sever headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia. Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes etc should take permission from their physicians before treks.

Nisarga Bhraman group always aim for responsible and sustainable tourism, and as a team we also believe your participation and cooperation in achieving our goal, since you will be trekking in an eco-friendly zone with varieties of flora and fauna, make sure that you do not litter this environment which are home for many endangered species and also make sure to bring back the waste produced during the trek for proper disposal.
  • Educate yourself about the environment, ecology, customs and traditions of the region.. 
  • Minimize your carbon footprint by avoiding and not using plastics of any kind.
  • Keep all pollutants away from the river, streams and other water sources.
  • Do not urinate or defecate near water sources or camping ground.
  • Respect religious and historical sites, keeping in view the sanctity, abide by the guidelines and follow the instruction set by the local authorities.
  • Do not interfere, interrupt or disturb the locals you encounter during the trek, respect the privacy of the host; always seek permission before taking their pictures.
  • Do not carry any sort of drugs or alcohol, refrain from these activities.
  • Take happy memories and leave nothing but your footprints.
